ALCOHOL TESTSfrom Home Health Testing®Alcohol Tests can be useful tools in the detection of alcohol usage. Alcohol plays an important and integral part in almost every society in the world. While not all alcohol usage is problematic, alcohol can pose a problem for some people. Whether you are a parent or high school counselor trying to keep young adults away from alcohol, an adult enjoying alcohol in a responsible manner, or an employer ensuring an alcohol free work place, Home Health Testing® has alcohol tests to meet your needs. Home Health Testing® offers 2 types of one-time use, disposable alcohol tests: a qualitative breath alcohol detector called the BreathScan® (which gives you a yes or no answer), and a quantitative saliva alcohol detector called the AlcoScreen® (so you can estimate a person's current blood alcohol level). Both types of testers are very accurate - your selection depends upon how you are going to use them. BreathScan® - A Disposable Breath Alcohol TestThe disposable FDA approved BreathScan® Alcohol Detector is a qualitative test available in 2 different blood alcohol levels: .02% (known as zero tolerance) to answer the question "Have you had anything to drink at all in the last 4 to 6 hours - yes or no?"; and .08% (the federal dui level mandated nation-wide) to determine if someone who has been drinking is legally safe to drive.
The BreathScan® in
the .02% level is the ideal tool for adults who want to be sure that
their teenagers have not been drinking. The .08% version is intended
for use by adults to make sure that they are legally safe to drive. The AlcoScreen® is a quantitative disposable saliva alcohol test used to quickly estimate a person's blood alcohol level with a range from 0.02% to 0.30%.
Touch the test pad to a person's tongue; if
the pad turns color, alcohol has been detected. A simple color chart
will then allow you to estimate the person's blood alcohol
concentration ranging from 0.02% to 0.30%. For accurate results, do
not place anything in the mouth for 15 minutes prior to using the
device. Click Here to order a packet of 10 AlcoScreen® alcohol tests for $34.95The blood alcohol concentration at which a person becomes impaired is variable, dependent upon the individual. Specific parameters such as gender, physical size, weight, activity level, eating habits and alcohol tolerance all affect the level of impairment of an individual. In general the human body processes alcohol in 4 to 6 hours. |
