Home Cholesterol Test
About 17% of adult Americans have high blood cholesterol (240 mg/dL or more total cholesterol) which is a major risk factor for heart disease. High blood cholesterol itself does not cause symptoms, so many people may not know that their cholesterol level is too high. Simple blood tests can be done to check your total, LDL and HDL cholesterol levels and other types of fats in the blood (such as triglycerides). A home cholesterol test allows you to monitor your cholesterol levels without having to visit a doctor's office and can give you the information you need to help prevent high cholesterol.
We offer 2 types of home cholesterol tests to meet your needs:
- The CholesTrak® Cholesterol Test - a home cholesterol screening test that will measure your total cholesterol level in 10 minutes
- Cholesterol Test Panel - a full lipid panel mail-in laboratory cholesterol test that will give you your Total Cholesterol level plus HDL, LDL & Triglycerides
