UTI TEST
URINARY TRACT INFECTION TEST

A UTI Test or Urinary Tract Infection Test is an important first step in the detection of bladder infections and urinary tract infections. Infections of the urinary tract are the second most common type of infection in the body. UTI rarely lead to complications if treated, however, if untreated, UTI's can cause kidney infections which could damage your kidneys. A UTI Test or Urinary Tract Infection Test can help you spot a urinary tract infection before it becomes critical.

A UTI begins somewhere in your urinary system which is made up of your kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Any part of the urinary system can get infected, but the most common infections are in the lower urinary tract which is the bladder and urethra. Women have urinary tract infections at a much higher rate than men.

The common symptoms of a urinary tract infection are a burning sensation while urinating, pain while urinating or frequent urination. Urinary tract infections can also cause fever, back or groin pain. If your urine is cloudy or pink or cola colored this can also be a sign of infection.

A urinary tract infection, commonly called a bladder infection, is a bacterial or viral infection of your bladder, urethra, and/or kidneys. The two most common indications of a urinary tract infection is the presence of nitrite and or protein in the urine. This test is the only home test that tests for both nitrite and protein in the urine all in one simple to use test.

Nitrates and protein in urine often indicate the presence of a urinary tract infection. By performing this simple test at home, you may detect a possible urinary tract infection before symptoms are present, or before the symptoms become too painful, thereby reducing your period of suffering.

In a quality control test using the UTI home test on 149 urine samples high levels of nitrite were identified 99.3% of the time or 148 out of 149 tests. The UTI Home test is accurate at detecting the presence of protein and nitrite in the urine although false results can sometime occur.
