Urine temperature is the same as your general body temperature of 98.8 degrees Farenheit, however, when it is excreted and put in a container that is at room temperature the urine will maintain a temperature of about 96 degrees F for about 4 minutes.

You should read a urine temperature strip between two and four minutes after sample is given and it should be in the 90 - 100 degree F range to qualify as a fresh urine sample.
