      Why Choose the PSA Test?

The PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) Test measures the level of PSA in your blood, a substance produced by the prostate gland. Elevated PSA levels can indicate possible prostate disease, including cancer, even though high levels are not harmful themselves. This test combines the convenience of home sample collection with the precision of a certified clinical laboratory, providing you with a safe, accurate, and cost-effective way to monitor your prostate health.

      Understanding Your Prostate Health

Certain conditions of the prostate can raise PSA levels, which can be detected through a PSA blood test. This test is crucial for early detection, as prostate cancer is highly treatable if diagnosed early. An annual PSA test is recommended for men over 50, while men in high-risk groups, such as African Americans or those with a family history of prostate cancer, should start testing at age 40 and consult their healthcare provider for advice on more frequent screening.

The Benefits of the Home PSA Test

The home PSA Screening Test offers numerous benefits, including accurate and reliable results from a CLIA-certified lab without the hassle of scheduling an appointment or drawing blood from your arm. The process is quick and virtually painless, making it an excellent option for proactive health monitoring.

      How It Works

The process is simple and user-friendly. The provided Blood Collection Kit includes a special collection device and a finger lancet. You’ll collect four drops of blood in the device, making sure your sample looks similar to the picture on the instruction sheet. You’ll close the collection device and mail it in the prepaid envelope to our CLIA-certified lab. Your sample will be delivered to the lab in 5-7 days, and processing takes an additional 3-5 days. You'll receive an email when your results are available online at DBS Lab Portal, with the total turnaround time being approximately three weeks.

*Please do not purchase if your state does not permit direct access testing or requires a physician's order for laboratory testing.

Take Control of Your Prostate Health

The PSA Test provides the same clinical results as a local laboratory but with the added convenience of home testing. It's accurate, private, and easy to use, with everything included in the kit at no extra charge. Please note, this test is not suitable for individuals who have had their prostate removed.

Q: Can I use this test to monitor levels below 0.6 or if I have had my prostate removed?

A: No, this test should not be used if you have had your prostate removed since it will not report a level below 0.6.

Q: Can I have my results sent to my doctor's or business' address instead of my home address?

A: Yes, results can be sent to your doctor's office, or to your business, or to your wellness clinic. Only one mailing is included in the price of the kit, if required duplicate copies must be self-produced.

Q: Is this a free PSA test or total PSA Test?

A: This is a total PSA test. (A free-PSA test measures the percentage of unbound PSA; the PSA total test measures the total of both free and bound PSA.)

      Q: Is this a 4K test?

A: No - A 4K test is actually a combination of PSA test with a hK2 (human kallikrein 2) and a few other related tests (free PSA, intact and total PSA, history of prior biopsy, results of DRE (digital rectal exam). A 4K test is strongly recommended for those who are at risk for prostate cancer.
