Anonymous and confidential HIV testing are the two different types of HIV testing available in the US. The home HIV test, for example, is an anonymous test – as private as your test can be. The National Institutes on Drug Abuse are using stimulus money to determine the way to test for HIV best suited to reducing risky behaviors. One thing all can agree upon though is that taking a home HIV test is a good thing – encouraged for all between 13 and 64.
